Sara Rafiei is an art jewelry designer based in the New York metropolitan area. Her collections, established in 2007, explore the scale and spatial relations between bodily ornamentation and architecture. Her works reimagine elements from distinct architectural traditions in a playful approach to the body - a platform upon which to construct, host and interact with works. Each piece is made by hand with an emphasis on form, volume, and texture. Her collection is comprised of works made with sterling silver, incorporating copper, brass, bronze, gold, stones and organic materials into select works.

Prior to pursuing jewelry design and establishing her studio, Sara Rafiei was an interior designer working on both commercial and residential projects. She holds an MA in jewelry design and metalworks.
